I am a 26 year old female in good health. In the past couple months I have noticed that I have been losing a significant amount of hair when I am brushing it or washing it. I literally can get a handful which I have never had a problem with before. I do wear my hair up a lot at school so I am not sure if my rubberbands are pulling hairs loose??? Also, I had a baby 9 months ago and I know that sometimes women can lose more hair in post partum months, but I have never heard of it happening 9 months after the fact. I have looked on my head and see no bald patches. I am not sure if stress can do this or what, but I am getting paranoid! What could be the cause....any ideas of what this may be?26 yr old female with hair loss?
Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.26 yr old female with hair loss?
Been on minoxidil for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.
My hair only started visibly growing after doubtfully trying out the natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info
I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now.
Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.
Good Luck !
If its of any help, be aware that shedding about 100 hairs per day is considered normal. Normal scalp contains 100,000 hairs. Blonds tend to have more - 120,000. Red heads come in at only 80,000 though.
see your doctor.
this is usually do to a hormonal issue, and it is not something you want to mess around with.
ugh, so sorry. Women do get hair loss, just not as often as men. See a Dr., but you might just have crappy luck.
