Hair loss, female? ?

I've noticed recently my hair is a LOT thinner than it used to be. I used to have the thickest hair like ever %26amp; now it's very very fine. I still have a lot but it's just flat %26amp; fine. I dye it occasionally with highlights %26amp; stuff. I do blow dry it almost daily %26amp; I realize there's a lot of hair in my hairbrush. I washed my hair tonight %26amp; just ran my fingers through it after it air dried %26amp; it was scary the amount of hair that came out of it just by doing that. I'm almost 20 years old, healthy besides being overweight. What should I do? I feel like I'm gonna be bald by the time Im 21.Hair loss, female? ?
Unfortunately female hair loss is becoming more common even in young women. Most female hair loss can be improved or reversed. Essential oil scalp massage is a very effective remedy to stimulate new hair growth and restore healthy hair (see link below.) there are many possible causes for the type of hair loss you are experiencing. Any change, disturbance or imbalance can disrupt the hair growth cycle causing more hairs than normal to retreat to telogen stage where they will soon be shed. They say it's stress but I don't know, I'm so worried about the amount of hair that I'm loosing on a daily basis that I'm even too scared to brush my hair

Sorry I'm not of much help but if you do get a good answer and find something that helps please will you let me know
Hmmm, there are two things that come to mind:

1. Are you on the pill or any other form of contraceptive? I know that can cause hair-loss.

2. I know that we lose something like 80 hairs a day or more between the shower and blow dryer and just being! LOL!! But, I don't think it would be enough to notice thick hair to thin, fine hair the way you are describing.

So, my thought is that you are experiencing, sorry!, female baldness. Again, so sorry! Best suggestion would be to see a dermatologist as soon as possible. BUT... if you are on birth control, there may be hope as you can change that around.

Good Luck!!

EDIT: *************P.S... Just thought of this one, too - thyroid problems. My hairdresser once told me to have my thyroid checked after I was losing a lot of hair, so have that checked as well.**************
