I know that one of the signs that I had thyroid problems was I was having hair falling out everyday, tired, and gained weight.
Since the problems with the tyroid I have been doing research and found out that also Iodine deficiency can cause some of the same symptoms. In my research it says that coconut oil helps. Might try that.Hair loss (falling out every day) in a young female adult, why? help please.?
Factors for hair loss in women
The following are some reasons why hair follicles break their normal cycle and switch into a resting phase. These are the factors why some women experience thinning of hair and thicker hair on the other parts of their bodies. The causes include any or a combination of emotional and physical state such as stress, hormonal imbalance (especially androgen sensitivity), genetics.
Some are caused by immune system irregularities including thyroid disorders, nutritional deficiencies (Iron and Vitamin A). Others may be due to cosmetic factors. Lastly, health conditions may contribute to the situation due to radiation or chemotherapy, dental treatment, blood loss, drugs, diseases, surgery and scarring.
Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems.Perming, straightening, hair dyeing and bleaching ,hot combing, using heated rollers and hot wax inevitably damage the hair.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Could be stress, could just be genetic like male pattern baldness, it's rarer in women because it has to be on both X chromosomes, but it happens. Could be a hormone imbalance as well. Either way, you may want to see a doctor.
Is it possible that it isn't hair loss, and could be hair breakage. This could be from over washing, over styling or too much heat on the hair. You could talk to your hairdresser about it. But if you are concerned that it is loss...speak with your doctor.
They say the average person looses 100 strands of hair per day. I know sometimes I think I lose an awful lot of hair, but then I remember that statement. So does it seem to be more than that?
It sounds like stress.
