What is excessive abnormal hair loss that would need a call to the doctor?

If it is more than 100 strands a day. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.What is excessive abnormal hair loss that would need a call to the doctor?
Anything that is coming out in clumps. Anything causing noticeable thinning of the hair. If you're seeing clumps of it on your clothes, on your pillow when you wake up, going down the shower drain, etc.

It could be something totally treatable like a thyroid problem, nutritional deficiency, or hormones, so best if you're concerned to see a doc and get some tests done.

Which doctor should I go see for my hair loss?

I have been loosing a lot of hair lately, which doctor should I go see a dermatologist or my regular doctor?Which doctor should I go see for my hair loss?
you can see a dermatologist but in the long run you will have to face reality of going bald. those big industries makes a lot of money bilking people out of their money for nothing.Which doctor should I go see for my hair loss?
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.

1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..

2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.

3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..

4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.

5. Beat two eggs,and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes.Then wash it.
First of all, don't stress about it. :D

Second, you can stop your hair loss like I did!

I started losing my hair and I tried Propecia and Rogaine, with little results.

I quit using them because I felt they were harming my health, so I tried to see what the 'alternative' cures had to offer.

Everything seemed like a scam: creams, oils, nothing really hit the nail for me.

Take the comment above mine, for example.

That site is a scam, I (unfortunately) know what that e-book is about: nothing!

The author needs to giveaway other e-books full of lies such as 'increase your height' or 'increase your sex appeal' because the one about hair loss is full of bulls**t.

After extensive research and two years of depression for the worsening condition of my hair, I found out the ONLY site that is genuine and works, it even has detailed VIDEOS that teach you how to exercise in order to increase the blood flow to your scalp and halt your hair loss for ever. :)

This is the only ebook that is 100% genuine (I know this for experience...), I PROMISE.

The videos are really powerful and speak for themselves.

Here's the link:

This is not a scam, I would never cheat on somebody who is facing the same issues that I had.

Losing hair is hard enough without being ripped off...

Trust me and you WILL stop your hair loss.

Bye,

Dermatologist. You can spend a small fortune on pills, creams, lotions, wigs, weaves %26amp; hair transplants - but in the end - you still must accept the inevitable %26amp; get on with the rest of your life. Life is not always the way it's supposed to be. It's just the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference. Genetics rule. You cannot re-program genetics.
A Dermatologist can determine if you have male pattern baldness or some other type of malady.
Suggest you check with your regular doctor to confirm the hair loss is not due to any illness. After that you can go to either dermatologist or trichologist (depend on your needs) for your hair loss. Below is a summary of the difference between these 3 groups of hair loss specialists:

1. Regular doctor - To determine if an illness may be associated with the hair loss.

2. Dermatologist - Specialise in treating skin related conditions. Scalp is part of the skin.

3. Trichologist - Specialise in scalp and hair disorders. To determine the rate and severity of hair loss.

  • What Kind of doctor I should meet to talk about my hair loss problem?

    I recently noticed that my hair losing very fast than normal, and I cant figure out why it is. I doubet it is maybe some hair creams I have applied recently, I want to meet a doctor to talk abot this. But dont know what kind of doctor I should channel. Can someone tell me to who I should speak to? What Kind of doctor I should meet to talk about my hair loss problem?
    Depending on where you live, you may be able to visit a trichologist. Trichologists specialize in the scientific study of scalp and hair disorders. They look at your scalp under a microscope to determine what type of hair loss you are experiencing. They can try to pinpoint to cause and offer a solution.

    If you're noticing excessive amounts of hair falling out from all over the scalp you may be experiencing telogen effluvium. This type of hair loss has many possible causes. It is usually a reaction to a change or imbalance in the body.

    Try to think back to a few months before the excessive hair loss began to see if their was any change, illness, stressful event, etc.

    Telogen effluvium is usually temporary once the cause is identified and addressed. Essential oil formulas can be very helpful in this type of hair loss.

    What Kind of doctor I should meet to talk about my hair loss problem?
    Alopecia (one ';l';) is a word to look for in Yahoo or Google, make sure you type in your city as well, and you'll see who is a local Dr. that can treat you. You may also try ';DHT'; (a form of testosterone that is the cause for 95 percent of hair loss - men AND women) - another ';hair loss'; keyword.

    Finding a doctor is one thing, but finding one in YOUR area is another.

    copy and past in your browser:

    alopecia, DHT, hair loss doctor, YOURCITY

    and see what you get.
    You have not mentioned anything about your current location. I have access to an excellent database containing hair experts from across the globe. I may be able to suggest you a good specialist in your area if possible. I think you should check this link out as it has some excellent information regarding what to look for in a good Hair Restoration Doctor and additionally provides contacts of numerous doctors. Check this : http://www.ishrs.org/hair-doctor.htm
    I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites,lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier.You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm
    When in doubt, start with your family doctor for a consultation. If there is anyone else that you need to see, you'd get a referral from him/her.

    I tried rogaine and it worked on me, did you put it on for at least two months? Coz my start working within two months. Well if you see a regular doctor he'll probably give you propecia. And if you see a dermatologist I dunno what he would do to you, but if you can afford the money and get your worries off you, you should go ahead~

    What doctor should I go to for hair loss?

    I recently noticed that I have been loosing quite a bit of hair towards the front of my scalp. I tried the volume shampoo and conditioners and it helped a little but I really want to kick this problem before it gets worse. What kind of doctor is the best one to go to for hair loss. I really do not think its so serious where I need to go to an actual ';hair loss'; company. Lets just say there is enough hair missing that my mom pulled me aside and talked to me about it.What doctor should I go to for hair loss?
    start out by going to your regular family doctor and he/she can recommend a specialist. i'd suggest seeing a doctor before you try and treatments yourself since depending on the reason for your hair loss, some/all may not work or could make it worse. i always hesitate to answer questions regarding hair loss because i think i can tend to jump to assuming it's a disease called alopicia because my sister has this. but from the way you described how the hair is falling out it does sound like it could be. but definitely call your doctor! while there aren't any definite treatments for all people with alopecia, doctors have had sucess with a lot of experimental treatments and they vary from person to person with whether they work. i'm by no means an expert but my sister has had alopecia for almost 10 years so if you have any questions feel free to send me a message and i'll try to help you the best i can!What doctor should I go to for hair loss?

    What doctor do you see about female hair loss?

    I have a family doctor but I'd rather not go to him if he is just going to refer me to someone else. What doctor do you see if you feel like you are losing more than the normal amount of hair?What doctor do you see about female hair loss?
    The reaon why its good to go to ur family doc is because ur hair loss can be a result of a major health problem. He will probably want to have u go for bloodwork to determine hormone levels. Or he can just have a look at u and say okay u need ....

    Hair loss can be caused by various health disorders, but a dermatologist may be able to satisfy u.What doctor do you see about female hair loss?
    I looked it up and couldn't find a specific doctor--a specialist--for hair loss. My guess is that your family doctor will refer you to someone else (sorry) based on the totality of your symptoms. It may be that you have another problem that is causing the hair loss, such as hypothyroidism, so you would need to see a specialist in that area (endocrinologist for thyroid). I was losing quite a bit before I was diagnosed as hypothyroid. My generalist did some blood tests before he referred me to a specialist.
    You're going to have to go to your family dr first to figure out WHY you're losing hair! If it's due to some underlying disease or condition, that has to be diagnosed first.

    I went to the doctor because of hair loss and he took some blood samples. what can i expect?

    i am 20, and i am not under any major stress or pressure.

    what can this mean?I went to the doctor because of hair loss and he took some blood samples. what can i expect?
    Hello Star, I want you to be more positive about this.. you are only very young so, lets not speculate on negative things. Its normal to lose hair with change of season and people lose certain amount of hair on daily basis. Loss of hair could be due to many other things as well like; diet, stress, hormonal change in your body (this is common for teens or early 20's), weather change and god knows what else. If you saw just howmuch hair I lose on daily basis, you would think I was bald. I wake up to pillow full of hair everyday but, I am 43 and still have more hair than I would imagined I would have when I was your age. There could be other underlying cause for your hair and you might not know it so, sometimes, blood test is there to check the possible cause of other things. If your family have no history of anyone suffering from major disease, chances are you will be fine as well. Both of my parents have died from different form of cancer yet, my siblings and I are still alive and kicking so, just focus on other things and don't stress about the possible outcome.. they say that always hope for the best and expect the worst but, in this case, I wouldn't even do that.. you will be fine..I went to the doctor because of hair loss and he took some blood samples. what can i expect?
    People's hair grows in cycles that last from two to seven years. Each strand has its own seven-year cycle until it is finally shed as a normal part of washing or brushing. People can expect to lose between 100 and 200 strands of hair each day. Now, it's cause for concern if hair comes out by the handfuls, or if there are sores or scabs on the scalp. Also, some hair loss is permanent and some is temporary.

    - The most common permanent hair loss is called pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia). Males with pattern baldness start to lose hair in the front, sides, and crown of their heads. Women with pattern baldness typically find their hair thinning around the front and the crown of their heads. While pattern baldness can start anytime after puberty, it's most common for it to begin in a person's 20's. Some people with pattern baldness become completely bald, others don't. Pattern baldness is usually hereditary, although not always. Although pattern baldness is permanent, there are some treatments available that a doctor could recommend after diagnosing it.

    - Some types of hair loss indicate an underlying problem. Sometimes, hair falls out weeks or months following psychological stress or trauma to the body. When small round patches of hair fall from the scalp, it could be a sign of alopecia areataan incurable, but sometimes treatable, disease of the immune system. This usually occurs in childhood or young adulthood, although it could occur at any age. Trauma to the scalp or hair can also cause hair loss (traumatic alopecia). This occurs when hair is pulled into braids or other hairstyles or when hair is damaged by heat from hot rollers or dryers. Also, when chemical treatments (i.e., perms, dye, straighteners) are used improperly they can burn the scalp or cause hair to break mid-strand. Use of some drugs like anabolic steroids and amphetamines is also linked to hair loss. Hair loss can also be a symptom of an underlying medical condition like diabetes, lupus, or thyroid disease. It could also signal poor nutrition. Sometimes people lose hair as a result of a fungal infection to the scalp (ringworm or tinea capitis). In these cases, the scalp gets flaky or scaly and hair breaks of at the scalp.

    Keep open communication with your doctor. At this point, I don't see any reason to be terribly worried. Your doctor will advise you on what to do.

    Good luck, and get well soon!
    he could be checking your Biotin (vitamin B7) levels. Hair loss is a symptom of Biotin deficiency.

    I am only 20 and seem to be loosing more hair than normal. Anyone know whay type of doctor I need to see or what could be causing this?What type of doctor do you see for hair loss?
    Considering your age, -- and assuming you're not a cancer patient or something -- I would start with either an endocrinologist (to check the specifics of your hormone levels) or a dietician to examine your nutrition.

    A dermatologist can tell you if you are harming your scalp with shampoos, soaps or other products.

    As always, start with your GP and let him/her refer you.

    Good luck!!What type of doctor do you see for hair loss?
    Hi Shannon, for hair loss problems, you can see a dermatologist, skin specialist or trichologist (hair expert). For hair loss, the first suspect is often the thyroid. If the thyroid is ok, then it could be genetic or simply nutrient deficiency. You can check out info about hypothyroidism and vitamins for hair loss from this site:

    Have a nice day. Your worries may turn out to be a small matter which can be corrected easily. By the way, do you know that losing 100 hairs a day is considered normal?
    All of the above answers are correct. Lack of iron, poor diet, stress, low or high thyroid all can cause hair loss. Have you switched shampoos lately? My son used a shampoo called BedHead and it make his hair fall out-I'm not kidding!

    Most people will lose between 50-100 hairs per day believe it or not. If you believe it's not for any of the reasons listed above, and you are losing 'plugs'; of hair or it's coming out in your fingers and never ceases, you need to make another appointment with the doctor and it's really up to the patient to be emphatic and say ';STOP...LISTEN...something is wrong!'; Some doctors just don't slow down and stop for 5 minutes unless you really call them on it. Good luck.
    This could be a hormone problem, thyroid problem or iron deficiency. I would start with your family doctor.
    Dermatologist

    What type of doctor should I see about hair loss?

    Everytime, I saw the article about hair loss and they also advise people to consult with doctor. However, they never mention what type of doctor should we visit? Does anyone visit doctor and get good result? What is my expectation?What type of doctor should I see about hair loss?
    You would need to see a Dermatologist, since hair is an extension of the skin.What type of doctor should I see about hair loss?
    They mean just your regular physician, but that means they just want someone to rule out any illnesses. Some people grow a little bit of feathers using Rogain, but not a lot of hair growth. If you do not have a medical condition or bad stress causing the hair loss, then cut your losses, get a short haircut like others losing their hair (its good looking too) like john travolta, et. al., orrrr go to a reputable hair replacement specialist. They cost big $$$ though.... If all else fails, some men look great bald.

    My husband lost most of his hair when he tried to dye it. What doctor should he go to to find out if there is anything that he can do besides hair transplant. I just can't figure out what type of doctor to see. Any advise?What doctor to see for hair loss?
    That would be a dermatologist. He has probably burned his scalp. The skin on the scalp is just as important as the skin on the rest of the body. The dermatologist can determine how badly his scalp is damaged and recommend the best course of treatment.

    In some cases there is some shedding due to the first applications of Minoxidil, but hang in theres visible result only appear after 6 months and only if you apply twice daily.

    You should also consider Propecia (Finasteride, Proscar, etc.), it has good synergy with Minoxidil so it will boost your hair regain and halt your hair loss.

    A family practitioner can get you started on the right track.

    Hair loss can be caused by many things, like a problem with your thyroid. Your Dr. will order a bunch of tests to find the root of the problem, to the hair loss. Once the problem is discovered, you will be referred to a doctor that specializes in that area.

    However, if it is caused by the medication - the only way to get your hair back to normal is to change medications if possible.

    I was on Wellbutrin and my hair fell out so much it was scary. I was very upset. It took 6 months after I stopped taking Wellbutrin, for it to get out of my system, and my hair to return to normal.
    Medicines can have different affect on each person, talk to your doctor about what she is taking, if the side effect is one she is really concerned about see what else can they give her, otherwise, besides vitamins, look for stimulates for hair and scalp growth.
    You don't need a doctor. Check a link

    anyway as we know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

    year ago my husband suffered very much from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed

    It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

    It worked and still works for him!

    I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info/why.php

    It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    good luck!

    Anti-Hair Loss Shampoos

    Anti-Hair Loss Shampoos : Rub-a-Dub Dub – But Gently PleaseOne easy-to-try option is a shampoo specifically designed to increase the health of existing hair and to reduce the rate of hair loss in both men and women. There are several sources to investigate specific shampoos, research studies which can be accessed to determine the effectiveness of many of these products. Good professional sources include dermatologists and licensed cosmeticians who see hair loss conditions frequently and have had the opportunity to observe the efficacy of a variety of shampoos. As well, an Internet “Google” search will provide hundreds of products, complete with testimony and small research studies.It’s easy to get confused when investigating the hundreds of shampoos available. With some background knowledge of what has shown to be effective in larger, previous studies, however, you can make more intelligent choices about the shampoos you choose for experimentation. And that is the great thing about shampoos – they are relatively inexpensive in this maze of hair loss/regrowth methods, so you can try lots of them without breaking your budget!1. Surfactants: People feel good when their shampoos lather up nicely. Lather, however, is just for psychological effect. Somehow we believe that the more lather a shampoo produces, the cleaner our hair must be getting. Hogwash! The ingredient that causes lather is call a surfactant and does not have cleaning properties. Other ingredients in shampoos actually do the cleaning. Surfactants are, however, pretty harsh, and, for someone who is experiencing more-than-normal hair loss, surfactants should be avoided. There are lots of shampoos out there without it – try some.2. Herbal Ingredients: The most notable herb with some success in hair loss difficulty is Saw Palmetto. Shampoos with this ingredient are certainly worth a try. Saw Palmetto seems to inhibit the production of DHT in men, for example, and DHT causes hair follicles to shrink and close up.3. Nettle and bay have also been helpful to some people. Shampoos which include these might help you too.4. Essential Oils: These oils are concentrated ones which come from plants such as lavender. From ancient times, these have been used to stimulate healthy hair and to decrease the rate of hair loss. We know that we have much to learn from early medicine men and healers. Perhaps this is another example.5. Tea Tree Oil: Many swear by this ingredient, and there are several brands of this on the market. So popular are these shampoos, you can find them at most any drug store as well as health product retailers. As an aside, tea tree oil has also been found to be effective in the prevention of head lice infestations.There are no definitive studies to show that shampoos can actually result in regrowth of hair that is caused by what we all “permanent” conditions, largely the result of heredity and hormones. However, early prevention is important, and experimenting with shampoos during these early stages may provide invaluable help in reducing the rate of loss.

    you need to see a dermatologist. They specialise in scalp conditions.

    One word of advice. If the dermatologist or your own doctor prescribes ';chemical treatments'; like propecia or rogaine do not take them. I made the mistake of taking propecia without knowing the side effects. then found out the hard way they can cause erectile dysfunction and even impotence.

    f you are beginning to lose your hair there are several things you can do to stop it.

    Eat a healthy diet. Hair is 95% protein and eating a diet with plenty of vitamins and proteins will not only make your hair look healthy but will

    help you to keep it.

    take hair supplements for There are many that contain all the vitamins and proteins your hair needs. the best ones contain DHT inhibitors that stop your body converting testosterone into DHT.

    Use a good shampoo. Ideally it should have a pH between 5 and 9. If you are not sure what to use get a shampoo formulated for hair loss.What is the hair loss doctor called?..?
    The most common form of hair loss in both men and women is androgenic alopecia (also known as androgenetic alopecia.) In males, this condition is known as male-pattern baldness because there is a well-defined pattern of lost hair -- over time the hairline recedes forming the ';M'; shape. Hair does not only recede but also becomes thinner, often progressing to total baldness.

    As the recent research found out, male-pattern baldness is primarily caused by the increased level of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT.) It is not yet completely understood how DHT affects the scalp but it is known that if a person is genetically prone to baldness, DHT may initiate the process of so-called follicular miniaturization. This process can begin as early as the end of puberty. Follicular miniaturization leads to hair becoming progressively thinner and thinner until it is completely lost.

    The good news is that it is possible to prevent and reverse baldness. Since it is primarily caused by the excess amounts of DHT, the obvious solution is to decrease the level of DHT. This can be done using synthetic chemical drugs or natural treatments.

    The doctor you should see is a general practioner.

    Dr. Phil would know.

    Can a non custodial parent take a child to the doctor for complete hair loss for more than 2 years?

    Our daughter lost her hair 2 years ago and her mother will not give us an update on her condition. The other kids explain she hasn't been to the doctor in about a year. We took her to our family physician while she was here and he stated that she had multiple things wrong with her and could possibly have leukemia. Her mother found out and said we have no rights at all to the kids. We pay child support but we have no legal court order on visitation. Can I be procesuted.Can a non custodial parent take a child to the doctor for complete hair loss for more than 2 years?
    You have every legal right to be concerned for the health of your child. If she tried to have you prosecuted for this, she would be opening herself up to charges of neglect.

    If the mother isn't taking the child to doctors it's neglect, and you can sue for custody of the child on that basis, you can also sue for the custody of any other children using this as your case.

    TALK TO AN ATTORNEY - YESTERDAY - ASAP -

    Your daughter's life may depend on this.Can a non custodial parent take a child to the doctor for complete hair loss for more than 2 years?
    Step one is to go to court and get court ordered visitation. At the moment, if the mother gets defensive about the medical issues, she can cut you off completely.

    At the same time, ask the court to modify the custody order to require her to keep you updated on the child's medical condition. Get a letter from the Dr that examined her saying that he believes she needs further examination.

    No, you cannot be prosecuted for taking her to a Dr while she is legally with you. Just the opposite, in fact - even though you're the non-custodial parent, you still have a duty of care to her while she's in your physical custody - during a visit, for example. If she's sick, or you suspect she's sick, and you DON'T take her to the Dr, you could be prosecuted for endangering the welfare of a child.

    Richard
    no you can't be prosecuted, but you should be getting a custody order... if you don't have at least joint legal custody; then the custodial parent has 100% of the say and you have none, and you will have to petition the court to have it changed and why you believe it should be changed. (she's not taking her to the dr.) could it be that she has a definative diagnosis as to why your daughter lost her hair, and she just chooses not to share it with you!? petition the court... best you can do at this point. and don't use the other kids for information. they're not spies, and they may not be telling the truth.
    I would bring her to my family doctor next visit of her, and tell the doc that she is my daughter and that I think something is wrong, could she please check her. I don't think the doc will ask for custody papers.....normally it's the custodial parent who got to do all this, but if you suspect some kind of neglect then I think that it is ok---however, if you talk to the girl's mother, try to find out if it is ok for you to bring her to the doc.....
    if you have any percentage legal custody (legal, not physical) than you should be in the clear. Why don't you conact your court system and ask a certified representative?
    I would say its time for a custody hearing.. obviously something is going on and her mother is not taking care of her like she should...
    No. You are her parent.

    How do you prevent hair loss without seeing a doctor?

    I'm a teenager and i am growing white hair. I try to take them out once a week and i'm still having white hair. HELP!How do you prevent hair loss without seeing a doctor?
    Plucking the hairs won't do much good, the hair follicle will not grow back any darker unless the original one was damaged when it grew in white. you may want to try a supplement with zinc in it, which can help restore your hair's natural coloration.How do you prevent hair loss without seeing a doctor?

    Need help of a doctor for hair loss problems?

    Most say saw palmetto is a natural way to stop hairloss..can u suggest which medicines r there in the market that will be effective for that?Need help of a doctor for hair loss problems?
    anyway as we know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

    year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    good luck!

    not only my and my husband`s own personal experience

    Horsetail Silica

    Horsetail is a descendent of huge, tree-like plants that thrived 400 million years ago during the Paleozoic era. The fresh or dried leaves and stems are used. It鈥檚 best collected in the spring when the emerging plants are still shorter than seven inches. It has been used in traditionally since the time of the ancient Romans and Greeks.

    Para-Amino Benzoic Acid

    It is known for its ability to help reduce wrinkling of the skin. It is widely used in sun block preparations. It may correct loss of pigmentation in skin and hair, prevents hair graying and retards hair loss.

    My hair loss was rapidly increasing while my self esteem was rapidly decreasing. I tried some expensive tonics which promised results and nothing happened. Then I found this simple recipe. It works. Enough said. I'm back to how I should look. Just imagine if there was a cure for hereditary Hair Loss that you could make at home within 10 minutes with some plants and roots that probably grow in your own garden or that can be purchased at the supermarket for $1.00! Hello

    Treating and stopping hair loss can be a difficult task to do if you're clueless on how you'll be able to effectively do so. If you're serious concerning stopping alopecia and baldness so you'll have more hair on your head, there are some tips that you need to know.

    Here are some tips that were helpful for me to stop my hair loss:

    1. Biotin Supplement

    By taking a recommended biotin supplement, many people I know, including me, have been able to extend the strength and growth of the hair. Biotin plays a major role in your body's natural hair producing process. For that reason, be sure you eat more foods that contain that vital vitamin. Foods like eggs, cereals and brown rice all contain biotin. I conjointly recommend using a good biotin supplement.

    2. Stress and Alopecia

    Stress is notoriously known for causing more than dozens of health disorders and diseases as well as alopecia and baldness. The effects that stress causes on your hair volume is terribly significant. While inflicting this disorder, excessive stress additionally appears to worsen it. For that reason, if you're serious regarding stopping alopecia, make sure you keep your stress level frequently in check.

    Make sure you get sufficient rest and sleep every day. Do not work long hours without plenty of rest. Unharness the strain out before it builds up.

    3. Herbs and Natural Solutions for Baldness

    Herbs and natural remedies are some of the most effective alternative treatments for hair loss. Using herbs and natural remedies like green tea and stinging nettle can help you win the fight against baldness and hair loss. Here you will find list of herbs and natural remedies that I've got found to be very helpful:

    * essential fatty acids like omega 3

    * Malt made hair mask

    * green tea

    * pygeum

    * nettle roots

    * horsetail extracts

    * saw palmetto

    4. Scalp Massage

    Massage your scalp few times a day. By massaging your scalp frequently each day, you'll be ready to extend the blood circulation within the scalp area. This increased blood flow can aid a lot in transferring the very important growth stimulating nutrients like biotin and amino acids to your hair follicles. This can directly help increase your hair's strength, growth and volume all at the same time.

    5. Get Proven FDA Approved Treatment

    Getting a good hair loss treatment is maybe the most important factor but also the most difficult. There are too many products and corporations in the market nowadays and it's not easy to choose the correct product for your needs.

    Anyhow, There are some reliable firms with good reputation that provide free trials of their products. Before wasting hundreds of dollars on useless product I will highly recommend to take a look at these offers. Some of the big names are: Hairsol, Reatne, Smart organic, Provillus and more.

    I personally use the hairsol treatment for about 3 months and until now I'm very satisfied with the results. You can learn more about Hairsol's best free trial offer here:

    http://www.freetrialsoffer.info/hairsol.

    Hope it helps
    Well the change may have had a big role in ur problem or it may be somtimes the type of water that ur home gets....i moved from idaho to texas and the water here has chlorine and i lost alot of hair also but i changed hair products and i dont know why that mattered it had a good effect on me....also if u have the chance u could also try to put a water filter to filter all the water in ur house....just some suggestions :)
    I personally use a shampoo from smart organics, after using it I started seeing immediate results of less hair loss.

    It didn't stop the hair loss entirely, but I'm sure if it help me it could help you too..

    Here's what I found on search:

    Boil three handfuls of celery leaves.Remove the leaves,and add the juice of a lemon to it. Apply on the scalp and then rinse after some time.Check out http://usefulinfo-hairfall.blogspot.com/ for more info on hair loss.

  • Can Pregnant Women use Biotique products for hair loss like Bio-Bhringraj, Bio-Kelp Therapeutic,etc.?

    I know someone who uses Biotique products and she is pregnant. She uses Bio-Kelp Kelp Therapeutic, Bio-Bhringraj Bhringraj and Bio-Apple Green Apple and her husband uses Bio-Margosa

    Margosa. I wish to know (now that she is pregnant) if either one of them or both of them have to discontinue using the product. The product does not mention any conditions under which it should not be used. While most allopathic medicines have well documented conditions under which one shouldn't use them or at least should seek a doctor's advice before using the medicine. I would really appreciate it if someone could advise me or give me pointers to the right source for this query.

    thanks

    P.C.Can Pregnant Women use Biotique products for hair loss like Bio-Bhringraj, Bio-Kelp Therapeutic,etc.?
    Part of that answer depends on if it's a product for internal use (a supplemental pill) or external use (a shampoo or hair treatment), but your best answer would come from the company itself. A shampoo shouldn't interfere with pregnancy at all, but some supplements may and they would typically have to list that on the label... if it's not on the label, there should be no problem. But just to be on the safe side, the company may have more specific info (like if you can take it more or less often during pregnancy, for example). Good luck and congratulations on the baby!

    My wife losses hair so which hair product shuld i buy for her? patene or loreal or treseme which one?

    which hair product can help prevent the loss of hair?My wife losses hair so which hair product shuld i buy for her? patene or loreal or treseme which one?
    just not pantene, it s not good.My wife losses hair so which hair product shuld i buy for her? patene or loreal or treseme which one?
    none of the above. they all contain sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate which can worsen thinning hair and make it fall out even more... check the ingrediants on your shampoos it will be the 2nd ingrediant.

    so buy here a SLS free shampoo.... jason and avalon organic make good biotin shampoos/condishes to thicken hair.

    also, VIRGIN coconut oil is a miracle for hair and is great for slowing hair fall ( i know because i was loosing a lot of hair after surgery)

    get a spray bottle and fill it with one part virgin coconut oil and four parts purified water. squirt it wherever you need it after showering while it is still damp and your hair will be lucious when it drys. it is very healthy for hair, penetrating the shaft and preventing protien loss (which prevents hair loss from the scalp along with breakage)

    its a win-win, unlike commercial hair products that give the illusion of thicker hair but ultimatly do more damage then good (harsh chemicals)

    also a biotin vitiman is very helpfull for regrowth... good luck!
    I would recommend to take vitamins first, there are a few very good kinds and may be you could ask a salesperson at the nearest vitamin store for his best suggestion (female, hair/skin/nails vitamin type). And if you can afford you may also use Federic Fekkai products which you can get at Sephora.

  • Hair loss problem, need advice for best possible product or operation to help grow my hair back?

    Im 19 Years Old young man, I do have hypothyroidism but it is in the process of being taken care of now. I have used Gel, Wax and other hair products for several years till last year I began to see my scalp in the mirror. I started using Oil, my hair doesnt fall so much now but still i see 1 or 2 fall when i stroke my hair. Is there any product anyone has used and has proven to get results of gaining hair out there, im too young to lose hair :(. Also if there is no product to reccomend is there a certain operation thats proven to get results? I have looked into Laser Treatment and Hair Transplant but im not sure. I need advice.Hair loss problem, need advice for best possible product or operation to help grow my hair back?
    There's only two hair loss drugs clinically tested and FDA approved : Minoxidil (Rogaine and other brands) and Finasteride (Proscar, Propecia, etc.), there are some interesting drugs too like Dutasteride or Follica but there aren't enough studies yet.

    If you're into natural stuff, the only one that might be helpful is Saw Palmeto (there are capsules for sale in natural shops) because it contains anti androgens similar to the ones found on Propecia.

    Laser treatment can improve your existing hair but wont help you regrow lost hair, hair transplant works but i would consider it the last option especially since you're still young.

    Minoxidil if you buy generic brands it's quite cheap and Proscar if you get the generic version it's reasonably cheap and will last you a long time.

    Quite frankly all the other stuff are either placebos or scams.

    Hi,

    Due to your hypothyroidism you are facing hair problem. Plus you have agravated the problem by using gels and wax. Waqas K, do you know that in many cases hair loss problems can be properly treated with (1) consuming proper nutrients and staying away from junk, and (2) proper hair care?

    You can get info on these at this easy to navigate site:

    http://www.hairlossmentor.com

    Look up the sections on ';treatment using minoxidil'; and ';minerals and vitamins';. The solutions to your problem may be hidden there!
    Apparently, Regaine (Minoxidil) will create soft hair for the time a person takes the drug but the effect is lost when the person stops taking it.

    Can't the hypothyroid specialist advise you? If not, maybe ask them to refer you on - Regaine can be got on prescription - otherwise it's expensive.
    ok so i have something natural for you to try out, its gross but it works with time:

    take a whole lot of garlic gloves, peel them and crash them gently, put them in a container and pour pure olive oil on them, close it and leave it for a week or so... then before you wash ur hair wet all ur hair with that oil( not the garlics, they should stay at the bottom) and leave it for a couple of hours (as much as u can) then wash...

    over time ur hair will grow back!! try it and thank me later ;)
    I know you might roll your eyes at this one, but I'm going to say try to get ahead of the game and shave your head. When you own the look, it brings your confidence back.
    You can try the following essential oils for massage to reduce hair loss. Grapefruit, Jojoba oil, Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

    Does the product named ';provillus';for men have any effect on reducing hair loss and regrowth of hair?

    Congion,hairbender has no idea what he's talking about (clearly his glass is half empty not half full).

    I should be able to help you based on my experience. I am a master stylist of 20+ years. I have the skill as well as knowledge of the structure, function, and anatomy of the hair, but found I could only do so much. That's where science had to step in. For years I have researched for the sake of my clients, something that would restore what some of them were losing, hair. Especially my female clients, male clients as well, but women have a much harder time coping. Men would after surviving the jabs now and then as well as the stares, develop ';thick skin'; (or so they would say). My first priority was getting the job done. The second priority ( a major push via my male clients) was it not cost an arm and a leg! We tried a number of products. All the products we tried promised ';much';, but...some just promised and others didn't work too bad but not great (some smelled awful). Until I found one that hit our ';doesn't cost an arm and a leg'; requirement and really worked! You can get it here. http://www.amazing-results-now.com I was sceptical at first based on the results, or lack of... from the other products we tried first. But seeing is believing. It was impressive, the hair starts coming in like fuzz. Fine and downy. My clients started to get excited (especially women, guys we’re...”yeah, not too bad”), but when it starts to thicken, then even the guys are “check it out!”. I take great pride in what I do for my clients. It didn't happen overnight, but it DID HAPPEN. All I can tell you is, it worked on my clients (both men and women). I had to order different formulas (they have 2 different ones- one for women and one for men), but they gave me 2 free months on each order. Which helped being as I was splitting it up amongst more than a couple clients. Even better for my clients was that when they individually ordered it for themselfs, they also got 2 free months because it was their first order (I had ordered it for them under my name to start with).

    Oh...I had hairbender's attitude (mind you I've never been a glass have empty sort) until I saw it for myself. Not only on one but several clients (male AND female). I would not recommend something If it was crap. I've seen it with my own eyes, just like I'd say Swartzkoff colour has beautiful reds, Redkin Exterme is a great treatment and Kenra has a solid moisturizing shampoo. As well, I won't tell you something is hogwash or snake oil if I don't know firsthand.Does the product named ';provillus';for men have any effect on reducing hair loss and regrowth of hair?
    Not really. Hair loss is internal, and genetic. For males, it's hormonal, and starts in puberty. There isn't anything you can do now to stop it. As long as you are healthy, all will be as good as possible. No snake oil or horse shampoo is going to do anything for you. They are good gimmicks, but are a waste of money.Does the product named ';provillus';for men have any effect on reducing hair loss and regrowth of hair?
    I would say not to use chemicals on your hair.Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm…

    Has anyone use Eko Garlic shampoo for excessive hair loss? I can't find many reviews on this product.?

    I have been shedding my hair ridiculously lately and read that garlic shampoo may help. But when I used it for the first time today, my hair fell out in chunks, I was so scared, I didn't know if this was normal or not but I can't find any reviews on this product... Please Help! I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow but would like some answers and advice today. ThanksHas anyone use Eko Garlic shampoo for excessive hair loss? I can't find many reviews on this product.?
    it is not normal! maybe you have some allergic reaction or something like that on this shampoo...??

    anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections, hormonal problems, to mention a few.

    year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

    the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also I used herbal treatment - Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)

    It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

    It worked and still works for me!

    I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=221781

    It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    Also Informative video about Provillus - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ydvCHhbR

    good luck!

    Hi there i also suffered from hair loss it started when i was 26 years of age and may i say i tried everything and not many products worked i also spent lots of money until i finally found provillus it worked wonders and theres also a free trial so u,ve nothing to lose give it a try

    They also have it for women.

    Good luck
    I don't know about this actual shampoo, but I do know that garlic really does help grow back hair. My old roommate randomly got 3 bald spots in the back of his head...we don't know why. He just heard that garlic would help. So he actually took a garlic clove, cut it in half, and then rubbed the cut end on the spots at least once a day... It grew his hair back! I think it took maybe about 2 months. It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

    Im sorry I cant help with the shampoo, but the concept of the garlic does work! Good luck!

  • What product(s) or procedure can you recommend for hair loss due to overprocessing of perm by the hairdresser?

    The only thing that will totally fix this is TIME. Just be glad its a temporary condition

    A hot oil treatment might be a good way to mask the damage.

    And a volumizing shampoo will make the hair seem fuller to mask the hair loss. I like Pantene Full %26amp; Thick, but there are many on the market.What product(s) or procedure can you recommend for hair loss due to overprocessing of perm by the hairdresser?
    Clippers!!!

    Oh, don't look so surprised. Probably best to start over. Besides, Britney's hair was an overprocessed mess, too, and she used clippers to solve the problem.

    It'll grow back.What product(s) or procedure can you recommend for hair loss due to overprocessing of perm by the hairdresser?
    Try a deep conditioning treatment. I use the BIOSILK recovery treatment on my hair two to three times a week b/c I get it dyed alot. It has really saved my hair. I highlight my hair pretty regular, about every 6 weeks, and this is the one product I will stick with! I have used it regularly for almost two years now, and will not even consider using anything else. It has stopped the breakage almost completely, I mean, we are all gonna have some breakage with all the things we do to our hair. But since usig this, my hair has never been in better shape. Absolutely love love love this product!!!

    Commercialism, aside, regardless of what product you choose, you must use it for the rest of your life, or else the ';new'; hair will resume falling out (FYI: the ';new'; hair is just dormant hair follicles being induced to grow; since they weren't meant to grow naturally, they will recede and/or die as soon as the product use is halted; no hair restoration product can create hair where there are no follicles).

    So, if I were you, I wouldn't bother with the expense (look at it this way: the cost of one bottle of the stuff is just about what most small vehicle take to fill their gas tanks! I wonder which you prefer: driving around or a full head of hair?). ;)

    Wht food products are rich in nutrients that are good for hair and may help prevent hair loss?

    Eggs are high in proteins. They might not nessecerly help prevent hair loss but protein is essential for hair health.

    Also start taking a lot of Vitamin A or prenatal vitamins. Both help aid healthy skin hair and nails.Wht food products are rich in nutrients that are good for hair and may help prevent hair loss?
    Anything high in proteins ands vitamins A, K, C..

    I take a biotin supplement with all my meals, my hair and nails have never been healthier or stronger.Wht food products are rich in nutrients that are good for hair and may help prevent hair loss?
    olive oil, honey, and avocado.

    you can mix them together for a great conditioning hair mask! mix a tablespoon of each in a bowl and apply.

    these ingredients are all great for building healthy hair.

    it'll preven hairloss because with conditioned hair, you won't need to pull brushes/combs through it and tear out hair. it'll make the hair smooth and healthy, which is exactly what you want.
    I am not really sure...But you should try going to a salon of some sort. They might know what you would need. Ask them the same question you are asking them. Because if you don't they would just give you shampoo or something...

Make sure that your scalp is not too oily - Sebum build up can kill Hair follicles - sounds nasty, but if you hair is really oily, wash it with dishwashing liquid every other day. FALLING HAIR -

    Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

    Tension

    Too much work

    Illness

    Poor diet

    Over-exposure to the sun

    Perming

    Amateur bleaching

    Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

    Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

    Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

    Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

    A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

    Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

    Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

    Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

    ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

    A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

    VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

    VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

    COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

    Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

    Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

    Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month 隆V if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

    Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

    Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

    Quick Hair Care Conditioner

    Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

    Honey Conditioner

    Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

    Alcohol Conditioner

    Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

    Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

    ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR -

    Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

    Wide-toothed comb

    Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

    The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

    While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

    Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

    Leave-in conditioner

    Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

    Oil

    Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

    Egg

    Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

    What can I eat to prevent premature greying?

    Eating seafood is possibly one of the best things you can eat to promote all-over hair health. It is rich in zinc, iodine and protein, which are excellent for the hair. So if you enjoy seafood, make it a point to have fish several times a week. Remember that eating canned fish will not give you the same benefits as eating freshly cooked fish. If you don?t eat fish, consider fish-oil supplements.

    Iron is good for hair and is found in dark green vegetables, meat and some pulses. If you are unsure about whether you are getting enough iron, include an iron supplement every once in a while in your diet. Remember that too many iron supplements can be bad for you. Women lose iron while menstruating, so perhaps during or after your cycle you can have iron-fortified supplements for a few days.

    Eating foods rich in Vitamins B and C will ensure that your hair stays strong, does not break easily, and does not grey early. Pork, vegetables, whole grains, wheat germ, soymilk are all rich sources of Vitamin B, while citrus fruits are excellent sources of Vitamin C. Eating adequate Vitamin C helps increase absorption of iron. Try and have a glass of orange juice daily.

    Your hair will never be healthy if you do not drink enough water. Drink at least eight to ten glasses a day.

    What oil can I apply to my hair?

    Rosemary oil is believed to gradually darken grey hair over a period of time. Soak rosemary leaves along with a few basil (tulsi) leaves, in jojoba oil, for a period of four weeks. Massage your scalp and hair with this oil (after warming it up).

    Most oils are not easily absorbed by the hair, which is why you need to leave oil on for at least forty-five minutes. It helps greatly if you steam your hair after applying oil.

    Boil dried amla pieces in coconut oil until the pieces turn black and the oil darkens. Apply this oil to the hair. It strengthens hair and prevents greying.

    Boil tealeaves in water and rinse your hair with this liquid 20-30 times. Then, leave on for 15-20 minutes before the final rinse.

    What else can I do to promote hair health and delay greying?

    Washing your hair with very hot water or using hair-dryers excessively weaken roots, and may lead to premature greying. When using a hair-dryer, take care not to point it to your scalp. Similarly, try and wash your hair with cool or lukewarm water.

    Will Yoga help?

    Inverted yoga poses bring a rush of blood to the scalp. This stimulates circulation and enhances hair health. Do the following poses regularly:

    Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog)

    Sarvangasana

    Chakrasana

    Other easy ways to stimulate circulation are:

    When you wash your hair, keep switching from hot water to cold water.

    Comb your hair regularly. A hundred strokes every night should do the trick. If your hair is curly, use a wide toothed comb

    You need to use a hair treatment like provillus. I've been on it for 5 weeks and i must say there is a major improvement in my part. It has all the vitamins your hair needs and much more.I've used it and I had very good results.Provillus contains the only FDA-approved topical ingredient clinically proven to re grow hair.

    I am sure this product will be worth your time for a second look since your money would be going into the right hands. In a survey conducted, 18 out of 20 people experienced a drastic change after using this product. None experienced any side effects.

    Provillus offers the best possible and perennial solution for this problem for both men and women. One of the best parts of the provillus treatment is that it uses natural ingredients. This has accounted for its rising popularity. Thus it leaves the other products behind in this context, since most of the products contain harmful chemicals.

    Provillus basically functions by removing the main cause of hair loss i.e. DHT. DHT damages the hair follicles and is responsible for the thinning of hair. It also restricts the re-growth of new hair. Provillus prevents its formation and it also promotes the growth of the new hair.

    I use it once a day every evening. The area which i was balding in was the top middle portion of my head, not sure why cause no one in my family is loosing hair accept me so its not genetic. I have regrowth in that area, few strands are coming up and my wife says its so much better than it was before.

    Well you might be aware that it is available for both men and women. The saw palmetto extract is basically present in the men's version whereas a combination of acids is present in the female version. Thus in addition to the solution of problem of hair loss it also nourishes hair.

    Till now Provillus has been getting positive feedbacks so you needn't worry and instead be assured. It offers the its users complete satisfaction.

    Ahah, I have a natural thai remedy that my mother taught me, in-exspensive and a natural lotion for the body and nutrients and food for the hair.

    Get coconut oil. And rub it in your hair thouroughly at night time, and in the morning wash it off (repeat that process thoroughly).You can either look online and find out how to make the coconut oil, or if you can find it in a store, buy it. My mom makes her own coconut oil.

    It works, the results should show with in weeks. It keeps your hair from losing its color too. It is enviromentally friendly, and edible, it might not taste very delicious tho.. especially after you have been using it on your hair.

    So all together you have a natural:

    Body lotion

    Hair grower/thickener

    Hair dye(kinda)

    and Snack!

    Go try it!
    get that foaming hair grower stufff!!!!!! at like wallymart or miejer or target and stores like that
    Get the vitimin called Biotin. It makes your hair regrow and even when you stop using it your hair will not fall out.
