I'm 18 and my hair is falling out.. how do i know its hair loss or not?

I think its in my genes my brother started losing hair since he was 19 and now he's 28 bald.. I tried changing conditioner and shampoo. I'm not sure is it hair loss or is it just falling out naturally like its suppose to.. but its a lot of hair that falls out... and when i observed the hair that falls out at the ends of them where the hair follicles are, its really thin I remember that b4 it used to have a little white end and some of my hair strands are thinner than others and my hairline has a lot of baby hair and my head feels a little thinner this has been going on for months im worried i wanna be able to fix it b4 i go bald like my brother or slow it down.. when he was 24 his hair line receded to half of his head now he only has hair on the sides of his head luckily he's married.. should i eat something more should I take some kinda protein or vitamin, any household remedies, shampoo conditioner, anything??I'm 18 and my hair is falling out.. how do i know its hair loss or not?
Genetics rule. You cannot re-assign genetics. You can spend a small fortune on creams, lotions, pills, wigs, weaves %26amp; transplants - but in the end - you must accept the inevitable %26amp; get on with the rest of your life. You can take a B-Complex tablet daily to help promote healthy hair growth. Life is not always the way it's supposed to be. It's just the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.I'm 18 and my hair is falling out.. how do i know its hair loss or not?

saw palmetto helps with hair loss, its stupid cheap and just a plant extract, stops prostate cancer or something too i guess.

i use it, all i can say is my hair hasnt gotten worse,,, which im satisfied with.

o yea, i use coconut oil to style my hair, stupid cheap, good for ya, and el natural
you could know by uhh going to your doctor and asking him/her. They get paid for a reason
Use Rogaine, it comes it generic. If you can afford it, get a presription for Propecia, but it is about 75 bucks a month. I use it, and I don't have a bald spot, just a little receding hairline...I'm 34. I also recommend Nioxin, it is a brand of shampoo/conditioner/treatment...it is expensive too. I also recommend Saw Palmetto supplements, they are cheap. Your best bet is to use the Saw Palmetto, and get generic Rogaine. I loathe Wal Mart, but they make their own brand of it.
