Best NON RX products for hair loss?

I am a 30 year old female going through issues with diabetes and possible PCOS. I have been to the docs, done all that, so please, no suggestions about going to a doctor, etc. I've lost at least 1/3 of my hair so far on the top and sides - and it is EXTREMELY embarassing.

Money is VERY tight for the next few months, so I'm looking for some NON Rx products (NOT Rogaine, etc.) that might help with hair loss or at least the 'look' from my hair loss that won't damage my hair anymore. Mainly looking for anything that you could find in the ';haircare'; aisle of stores such as WalMart, CVS, etc.

Thanxs for any help.Best NON RX products for hair loss?
I went through the same thing last year. I actually went to a hair specialist. They did a scan and found that most of my follicles were dead. If they are still functioning you can baby the hair back but nothing will start it again after they have stopped. I stopped coloring and only use a temp color for special occasions just to cover the gray. I use Mane and Tail Shampoo and Conditioner. I get it at Sallys but they do carry it at some Walmarts but usually in the pet section. Yes, it was developed for show horses actually but lots of people use it. I also use their Hair Strengthener Leave in Conditioner. All three of these will cost you less than $20 at Sallys. I don't blowdry nor straighten. In the last year it has improved 100%. It is also about 3 inches longer which is a surprise since it hadn't grown in several years. It takes time and patience and like I said earlier, not all will come back.
