my father is bald and so are 3 of hes 4 brothers, im now 18 years old and seriosuly wondering if i will start losing my hair like my father did in hes early 20's, is there a good chance this could happen to me? is it genetically related??Hair Loss in men?? Genetics?
It is true that if your mother's side has the gene, you will have a higher chance of getting it. If your father's side has the gene, you have a 50-50 percent chance of getting it.
However, if you start to some recession or an increase of falling hair, there are ways to stop it. (Propecia stops the hormone, Minoxidil stimulates growth, Nizoral cleans the hair pores). Nothing else works.Hair Loss in men?? Genetics?
Yes, the medical term is called androgenetic alopecia. Apparently the gene(s) is/are passed from your maternal grandfather, but not always.
Bald men can be very attractive, dont worry about it, Grow old gracefully%26gt; ;)
I hate to say this but more than likely it is going to happen I have a friend who lost his hair at 25 so I wish you luck!
I've heard the maternal grandfather thing, but it doesn't work for me. I am mostly bald, so was my dad, and his dad, whereas my mums dad was fine - some people are just born lucky I guess! Shave your head if it gets bad, saves sooo much on hairdressing bills!
Hair loss is genetically related but men get it from their mom and girls get it from their dad. If you're Mom's Dad had a full head of hair, you should be okay.
Yes it's genetic but doesn't necessarily mean you will go bald. But please if you do just go with it and shave it!!! Men with shaved heads are sexy the comb over not so much!!
you alright its genetics
Unfortunately male baldness is hereditary, so the chances are you will go bald like your dad and uncles, I looked in to this a lot recently because I wanted to find out if alopecia is hereditary, my daughter has alopecia and so does her biological father, and it is something I remember seeing. Going grey is also hereditary, my cousin was completely grey by the time he was 15!
Hair loss is genetically related you will get it from your mother . but dont be verey happy because
you should know that the wmen need two gene to be bald .
and men need one gene to be bald
so may be your mother have the bald gene but you dont know
It is genetic but you can take care of it .About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
I too have heard that this is a genetic condition passed through your Mother and not Father. At the time, it was explained to me to look at my maternal uncles and not my Father or his side of the family.
