I'm shedding a lot of hair and the hair loss on my hair is noticeable. Help?!?

I'm 17, but for 2 years I've been shedding hair. I guessed it would be ok since I use Got2B Glue and Axe hair products almost everyday.

My hair sheds an exessive amount sometimes, and sometimes it just stops completely. This year, it hasn't stopped shedding at all and I can see the hair on the top back of my hair starting to disappear.

Also, I also tend to spike my hair a lot and now I can see that it wasn't how my hair use to be when I spiked it because of less hair. When I spike it, you can see my scalp. Before you couldn't.

Anyone have any ideas what I can do? I usually do use shapoo and conditioner and I got John Paul Mitchell's hair strengthening kit.

Btw, I'm a guy.I'm shedding a lot of hair and the hair loss on my hair is noticeable. Help?!?
I'm a girl, but this year my hair was breaking off a lot... So when I went ot get my bangs cut one day I had asked my hair dresser what I could do, she gave me this shampoo and conditioner Regis'; Designline Hydrate'; shampoo and conditioner and what I do is when I have a shower I lather up the shampoo, and scrub my scalp with my fingernails, not hard enough to hurt yourself, but yeah.. and do the same with the conditioner. I have long hair, so I use a lot of conditioner.. But make sure it's even spread through your hair and wait two or three minutes before rinsing it out, if you hair still feels a little coarse try about half of what you used for conditioner again and them wait and rise out? A leave in conditioner is nice for after as well, and don't blow dry your hair if you can help it...

Good luck! If not just go ask your hairdresser or doctor.I'm shedding a lot of hair and the hair loss on my hair is noticeable. Help?!?
If you use a lot of product to help with that you are going to want to get clarifying shampoo it removes all the build up in you hair.

Coloring your hair darker will also make it appear that you have more hair

There are a lot of misconceptions about hair loss, what causes it and how it is treated. When you know the facts about why you are experiencing hair loss then you can start to treat the problem.

First, what is Alopecia? Alopecia is the term for hair loss. It is not a symptom of hair loss and should not be confused as a specific disease, when in reality the term Alopecia represents any form of hair loss.

There are a number of causes for hair loss or thinning of the hair, including genetics and some types of medications. The most commonly seen form of hair loss is called androgenetic alopecia. This type of thinning of the hair can occur in men as well as in women and it is a genetic condition of hair loss.

The revolutionary drugs called Minoxidil and Finasteride are two drugs approved by the FDA and The American Hair Loss Association to slow down the process of hair loss and treat pattern baldness. Both these drugs ironically were discovered and manufactured to treat other male diseases. However, in both cases the side effects cause people to grow their hair back. Though both the products were already approved to treat these other diseases the FDA decided the side effects were a miracle and they released them in different forms as hair growth products. To this day these drugs are not only used for hair growth they are still being used to treat the original diseases they were manufactured for, which happened to be prostate problems.
